When I create these new things with the DBC and add the patch, it works, but I can not see the changes. For example, I completely modified the Frost Talent tree for mages but everything is still there. I can only put talent points into the spots where my new talents are though.

Anywho, I edited the DBC, turned the talent.dbc into a patch and put it into my 3.3.5a client. The Talent.dbc is in my Data folder that my worldserver.exe uses. I'm not sure what other way there is to apply the changes. The only problem is that it isn't showing the new talents. The talents I chose are the only talents I can pick as I didn't use the 3rd or 4th column.

The DB is well, a database that contains most of the general information the server contains that don't require a patch or some other doing than lua. Extremely simple. The DBC is like the DB (an extension) but it's changes that require a patch. Scripts add implementations just like adding world chat capabilities into your server.

Anyways, you have patch-x.mpq which has DBFilesClient folder inside and inside of that folder is your changed talent.dbc, and that same talent.dbc is also in your server's dbc folder.

If you have done those correctly, then you should check that those talents which you added point to right talenttab and that any of the old talents does not point there, best would be to replace old talents with new your spellids(talents)

I checked the talenttab.tbc. There is nothing there that affects why the talents aren't displaying correctly in-game.

You said they work server side, so your problem is with the client. You did not create / apply the mpq correctly. Do that.

So do not discuss with staff members when they are the ones making it a discussion?
The questioner in this thread literally stated that the information given were not helpful, which was wrong.
Mahado gave it to him on a silver plate. I find no reason to give up trying, as when doing such one will never learn. Yet the outcome is the same if one does not try at all. No discussion intended.

On topic:
Take a screenshot of your mpq with the files and location of them shown. If indeed they are working server side, then your problem is client side.ô

My intent wasn't to disregard a discussion, but diminish any source of inappropriate wording that could make Barebones quit what he was trying.

I helped Barebones solve his issue. The main issues was, he named his DBC folder wrong when it should've been 'DBFilesClient'.

I do agree on the portion where he needed to have supplied more information, but that should've been any member or staff question to begin with, instead of writing what you guys wrote. When a member doesn't supply enough information in a thread, it is pretty obvious to ask the member for more information regarding the issue. Let's keep that in mind, please..

Marking as solved.
