I've been domain flipping for around 6-7 months now, and I think it's time to give you guys a few tips on what you can do with it, and how much you actually can earn.
First of all, you have to keep in mind that Domains can be worth thousands and even millions of dollars, if you have the correct domain. I recently sold a domain, that I forgot I had, for 800 dollars. Think about it. I paid $15 for the domain and $10 for the hosting it had, and when I sat at a restaurant with my brother, I suddenly got an sms from this "Domain Flipper/hustler" - She told me that she wanted to buy my domain, and I was like "She's gonna buy it for around $40 or something.. meh" - She told me to name a price, and my brother and I were talking about a price, he told me (sarcastically) to say $1000 for the domain, I went to do so. She then replied that she wanted to pay $600 for it, and both of us were out of our mind. Think about it again, $600 for a domain, that you completely forgot you had and that you only paid $15 for?! - Oh well, we went to the negotiation part and ended up with a price of $800. The deal went smooth when I got home, I got my money, and she got the domain and everybody was happy.
This is just one of my success stories that I have. Now to the cool and fun part, learn HOW to do this!
what is a domain flipper/hustler?
A domain flipper is a person who buys TL(TopLevel) domains and resell them. You can either choose to SEO optimize the domain, in order to get a higher price for it, or just sell it as it is. A great idea while domain flipping, is when you're buying your domains, buy them in bulk. This will give you a discount on most of the domain registrars, for example. GoDaddy offers such a thing. Also, find lots of domains which looks just like those. Let's take en example:
You're found this AWESOME keyword, using the Google Keyword Tool and you're just about to buy 1 domain, and suddenly this little pop-up asks you if you wish to buy all the domains that's associated with your current domain, DO IT!
ea. of the domain is www.PremiumAutoCars.com - Buy lots of domains associated with this domain, ea. the .org .net and .co domain (if they're available) - Make them all redirect to your .com domain, this will increase your SEO Optimization, and help you sell your domains even faster to customers!
Enough of this, let's go ahead to the next thing.

I've found a couple of sites that may be handy for ANY domain flipper out there!
There are of couse many more sites that you could use, these are the sites I use the most!
Where should I buy domains?
My suggestion, is to use a well known domain registrar, such as GoDaddy, register.com or Name.com - Those are all great registrars, with fair prices (Domains from $1.99 at GoDaddy.com). You'll mostly likely use the ones that's cheapest, but that isn't always a great idea. most "domain buyers" likes to transfer their domain fast and smooth, when buying a domain from you, therefore I'd suggest you to check the transfer time and/or price, for the registrar you're buying the domain from. For example, at GoDaddy a transfer can take up to 48 hours, but if your buyer has an GoDaddy account already, you can transfer it MUCH faster! - The same thing goes with name.com, on there, you can transfer your domain instantly to another name.com account!
I've made a list if my favorite registrars that I use the most!
there are - of course - many other domain registrars that you can use, try them and see which one you likes the most!
How do I domain flip?
I bet this is the question that you've been waiting for! Actually, domain flipping is rather easy, if you have an imaginary and open mind. The simplest way to domain flip, which I'm going to teach you, is using the Google Key Word tool, which is an AWESOME tool!
In this example of a domain flipping, I'll use the following information with the Google Key Word Tool
Then press search, and You'll be able to see the competition, monthly searches, etc.

As you can see, the Monthly searches are very high (For this keyword, Emulation) 1,830,000 Montly searches, and the competition is low, which means there might be a higher chance on getting high on Google(Page1+/-)!
Now, what do I do?!
Simple, goahead and search for a domain generator (These may also become handy, if you wish to register lots of domains, with the same keyword in it.)
I've made a list of a few sites, that I use the most.
And of course, there's a lot more on the internet. Try some of them, and see which one you likes the most!
Goahead, and register a few domains (Start out with 5 domains MAX, if you're new and don't want to spend lots of $$ on this - Remember, there's always a bad site, as you're actually "Gambling" your money.
When you've registered a few domains, wait for them to be active (They'll mostly likely have standard DNS servers, which points your site to their host with a "Comming soon" page, I know GoDaddy have this.) - Now it's time for the flipping part. Register on one of the domain sell/buy sites that I mentioned earlier in the thread, and list your domain(Might cost a few bucks to do this!). If you really want it to be sold fast and easy, they offer Premium listings on most of the sites. This means you'll get your text with Bold, Underline, Coloured or even better, on their front page! Before listing it, you should check the domain value with one of the sites I've listed above in the thread. If the domain is appraised to around $1000, ALWAYS go 20% down, which is will be $800. Find a min. price you want for it, and put it (Not too high, if it's appraised to $1000, set the min. price around $150-250 or something - Do NOT scare your customers!) and list it!
If you get lots of people who wants to buy the domain for BiN (Buy It Now) price, you've done a great job buying the domain, and you can then start an auction between the people, and end up getting way more than $1000 for it.

- Name - Very big domain registrar aswell, has an easy-to-use interface.
- Register - Often has domains for just $.99 (Use google to find the coupon codes/links)
- Siteground - This is the one that I use, but when I buy domains, i usually buy host aswell (I use siteground.com/friends.htm to get it cheaper, only $24.99 for 1 year of hosting + a domain!)

- Impossibility - Great if you wish to register more than one domain!
- Geek.name - This is great, if you don't want to spend time using the keyword tool. Sometimes they have very COOL domains at the top, under "//top recently found unregistered domains"
- Domainsbot - This is great, if you aren't very open minded, and can't come up with ideas for a domain name. You type on your keyword, and It'll generate domains for you!
- Panabee - This is a bit like Domainsbot, but still different. Type in your keyword in the box, and press enter. It'll then suggest you domain names, according to your keyword. Backwards, different TLD's, removing letters, etc. It's pretty cool!]
And of course, there's a lot more on the internet. Try some of them, and see which one you likes the most!
