[ATT] EmuDevs, Nomsoft and social communication

Tommy

Founder
Has come to our attention people don't know what is what around here. Well, let me explain.

First of all, what I'm about to explain is a rule:

Section: 1C, Rule#12
Do not post on EmuDevs OR Nomsoft's, basically ANY of our Twitter and Facebook pages (includes PMs too) or our Teamspeak just because you want an issue solved. Create a new thread and it will get solved when we get to it. If you fail to listen you'll be told to go to EmuDevs.

Now, we've had a couple of people the past couple of days (maybe more in the future) that don't know where they should be making new threads or asking questions at. Lately, they've been asking us @Nomsoft; here's some information: Nomsoft has nothing to do with World of Warcraft, World of Warcraft Emulation, EmuDevs Support, EmuDevs Support of ANY KIND. Nomsoft's team created EmuDevs, that's it, nothing else. Don't be bothering us at Nomsoft with support, emulation, questions, questions about ED, or EmuDevs in general.

What I dislike the most is someone knowing they are PM'ing or asking questions in the wrong place and do it any way.

Want help? Post in ED Support. Something wrong with the site? Post in Site Support.

HOWEVER, if you have questions about Nomsoft, then it becomes relevant, but it is recommend to ask your questions in this thread.

I took the liberty in editing FAQ and Social Media & Public Servers portion of [ALL] EmuDevs Information thread.

Below are the edits:

FAQ
Q: Why is EmuDevs down? I'm getting a 404 (or other) error(s). Am I banned?
A: If EmuDevs does seem down for you, you should head to EmuDevs Twitter Page to see if it really is down because we'll have some information regarding downtime. Normally if EmuDevs is down it is when most staff are sleeping and it won't be dealt with until we wake up. Other times, if the issue isn't big enough to announce we'd skip that and get EmuDevs back online asap. However, if there aren't any tweets and EmuDevs still seems down for you after waiting awhile, it could be you. Make sure to do necessary cleansing or other relevant actions to make sure your connection is fine.

(continuing the answer from "Why is EmuDevs down? I'm getting a 404 (or other) error(s). Am I banned?")
No, you're not banned or at least you shouldn't be. We only ban spammers instantly and members if they've disobeyed staff & rules numerous times.

Social Media & Public Servers
!Important! Social Media RULE. MUST READ.
