EmuDevs WoWDB

WoWDB is basically like wowhead except it is more private server friendly than anything. Currently reads off of Vanilla, TBC and WotLK data (not yet completed). Older WoW versions will be added later so you can choose which expansion you'd like to search. This also features our very own custom tooltip system. Everything is coded by both me and Faded.

Sql Generator might get its search values from here instead of how it searches right now.

Link: WoWDB

If you see anything wrong, missing or out of the ordinary you can report it in Site Support or here.

Enjoy.

I dunno if it's only me, but i would prefer the auto-fill thingy, like real wowhead has, when you start enter item name for example cor... the select option in search pop up with item names that same as your entered name/letters. that would be easier for people who don't know full name or remember just half of item/spel/npc and etc.

I started to do that last night, but it is a lot harder to implement that feature than how it looks. Eventually I'll add it, but it'll be a bit before it is added.

Thanks. That's the vibe we want to keep for ED's members. :D

sometimes there is not enough "thanks" buttons, you should add few more :D

O.T - I think that display ID somewhere in item data would be handy as well !

  • Display Id shows for creature now.
  • Search suggestions now show based on matching keywords. Note: Tooltip wasn't added to this. Reason is because there's an unknown issue with displaying tooltip with the search suggestion (for some odd reason). Regardless, search suggestions are there.
  • Itemsets via tooltip are semi-working right now.

i'm not sure if it's only me, but i can't select any items from drop down in menu, when i select WoTlk version, if it's hold on work then sorry, if not seems like a bug.
P.s i'm using Mozilla Firefox, not chrome.

Talking about the dropdown suggestion box that shows up? That's because the item/npc/spell pages don't exist yet and there's nothing to point them to yet, hence why you can't click them. :p

Any bugs or anything you find RIGHT NOW I'm sure I'll know about it because I'm constantly working on the site.

There's apologize about, lol. Suggest what feature's you'd like to see and maybe in the future when the site isn't going under heavy editing bug reports will be greatly appreciated.

i think i can suggest more, when the item/spell/npc page will be ready, wel maybe one thing i found open-wow -> wowhead in development bcs they show the spell id / name that affects your selected one, and shows it's type if it's dummy or not, so for example :
Spell :
300 mana
5 yd range
InstantA vicious strike that deals weapon damage plus 210 and wounds the target, reducing the effectiveness of any healing by 50% for 10 sec.

Buff
Mortal Strike
Healing effects reduced by 50%.
10 sec remaining

pretty clear yeah ? and now the part i was talking about :
Effect #1 Apply Aura: Mod Healing % (127) Value: -50
Effect #2 Value: 210

It shows some handy stuff from spell.dbc that is making your life A LOT easier. so you can see what spells/skills triggers your selected one.
