How to edit the Heroic Flag on items.

Open up your MPQ Editor and Custom Open MPQ

Find patch-enUS-3.MPQ inside your World of Warcraft Data directory and open it

Inside the patch go to Interface/FrameXML/GlobalStrings.lua and extract it anywhere

Right click and edit with notepad++ and search for "ITEM_HEROIC", then edit "Heroic" to whatever you want and wala.​

Anyone by chance know where other tags like Heroic are done (Season #) Searched through Global and couldn't find them :/

Was meaning if anyone knew were they were done at for cataclysm. As in 4.3.4 all Cataclysm PvP season gear got a tag similar to the heroic one. Was hoping they were done similar as the heroic one just in a different lua.

Also, for any trying to do it on Cata (For 4.3.4 at least) the GlobalStrings is located in locale-en** inside your locale folder. The lines are on about 5,000 and there's a different line for each armor quality.

Okay, well ended up finding the DBC that it's all held in. ItemNameDescription and it's all defined per item with some sort of color code in the last column. Can just add a new line with the entry of your item and GG. Though, not sure how the colors are done..
