No release date for the entire project as there is still much to do but for the Lumbridge beta I would give it about a month.
Things you can see in the Lumbridge Beta are:
- Only playable race for the beta being humans
- Beta fully functional up to level 10.... not much, you may think.. But the professions and side quests will keep you busy for a while.
- 19 fully functioning professions up to profession level 35. Each profession will be up to level 100.
Down sides to the beta:
-There will be no other betas besides the Lumbridge one, and it will only last a maximum of 2 months. We will still continue progress on the server during the beta but it will get annoying for players to deal with server restarts every 10 mins and the experience would get boring after making a few characters, so we decided to give the beta a close date. Exactly 2 months after the beta launch date. Beta may also be subject to close before that date, as 2 months is the maximum amount of time we are keeping it open.
-Players will only get to preview a "in-construction" book of Knowledge, as level 10 is when you gain access to it. Players will get to select one knowledge spell, but nothing else.
- Areas outside of Lumbridge will be closed off with invisible barriers, so only Lumbridge itself, the Lumbridge Farms, Lumbridge Forest, Lumbridge Swamps, and Northern Pass will be accessible areas.
- All character data will be cleared after the beta is complete, so any progress you make will be deleted afterwards as the content is subject to change drastically. That is why we chose a low level as the beta level cap, because of the high demand for a speedy beta, and the desire to not upset players once their progress is deleted cause I haven't ever met anyone who has complained about redoing 10 levels.
