Serious UI choice for script / app

Hello, Emudevs. lets go straight to the topic. If you would have choice to get your hands onto website type wow database editor, what kind of connection type would you prefer ? would you like to enter all the stuff like host, user, password, world database , auth, characters, port and save that in session for current usage (what allows you to connect to any other server machine if you know credentials) and then use all the tools and forget about swapping databases and such, or you even prefer the old method where you selected database and edit only stuff related to that database?

Ideally I would prefer the first method, although that greatly depends on where the website is hosted. Is it local or would this be a service your intending to provide? If it's the latter then I would not enter any database information just based on security.

well it would be local open source script. you download script open it in browser (or exe still don't know yet) create session and start using any tools you need. first method allows you to connect to VPS / VDS machine from your local computer what is nice. already did some testings that works perfectly. won't promise anything but i will spend some of my free time on this idea. so you can expect an release with first simple features. did a lot of framework coding on it today.
Well topic title still fit my second question, how do you imagine really ideal user interface with bunch of tools? is it separated stuff like

-- Accounts
- Account Creator
- Account Editor
- Ban Account
- UnBan Account

Or rather just
Account manager with all that stuff inside? :)
