Adding particles to a piece of armour

Could somebody point me in the right direction of adding particles off of one armour onto a different piece of armour please?

I've tried searching on here and a couple other forums but couldn't find anything that linked itemdisplayinfo.dbc and particlecolor.dbc in terms of adding particles, only removing.

Hope somebody would be kind enough to give me a hand, thanks
