Okay guys so I recently made my dad to teach me how to drive a car and yes I`m 18 but I didn`t feel the need or the desire to drive a car,now I do and I really do need to know how because my mom gets strong pain and more of the times she needs to go to the hospital, but seeing as sometimes taxi-cabs are slow to come hence I started learning to drive a car.My uncle gaive me hes old Renault Laguna which is quite in the good condition. So do you own a car and what do you think is having[owning]a car a luxury or a need?

In todays society I believe having a car is a need. Ofcourse it depends on where you live. If you live in a small village where a car is not needed then it's a luxury if you buy one however if you live in the inner city or anywhere else that cars are required its a need. However the public transport system in some country has done so much progress that they've basically rendered cars null. In your case saying that you need a car to be able to drive your mother to the hospital is a need and not a luxury.

Know that feeling mate turning 19 this year and i've never been intressted in cars but now I took some time to acutally get my lincense. Anyways OT: Yes I belive having a car is a need (depending on where you live ofcourse) if you want to get a job where I live you need to have a driver lincese(which is pretty obvious but still). Luxary would be to have some unique cars.

I use to own a vehicle, even when I owned it I still didn't use it that much. Even to this day I don't even need a vehicle, if I need to use one I can borrow others. Vehicles are obviously needed for emergencies and for any kind of need if you have one.

Here`s my opinion. As society grows and strives towards revolution, people are forcing everyone to use cars,For example my goverment released a project for example if you are 16 and you have good grades you can start with driving courses, ofcourse you can drive it only if there is a legal guardian with you who has his driver`s licence more than 2 years,on a another note if I get my licence I will be able to drive to 23:00 because I`m not a driver for 2 years .
^What do you think about laws like that

Those are old laws... well old and similar laws in the US. I don't know about the amount of time your guardian needs a drivers license, but what I do know is in the US and if you have a permit at 15, you need a guardian (or whatever) with a license. When you get your license at 16 you're free to drive on your own.

Your own car would have gotten you to my house years ago

It's all relative to your situation as most people have said.
It is always nice to have one when you need to get somewhere quick, especially if wherever you're living doesn't have much public transportation or isn't very reliable.
