[HELP] How to stop BSOD?

Lately I've been experiencing random dedicated server restarts from my host. I moved because I thought something got messed and the team was unprofessional anyways.

After I moved, installed same software I've been using for ages, and random restarts still are happening. It's actually a blue screen error. I looked it up and it might be some kind of DDOS attack(BSOD).

Do you guys know something about this kind of attacks? How can you stop them?

Thank you!

that would be weird, did you install some instable program that could cause it ?

It is impossible to get a blue screen of death from a DDoS attack.

Google NirSoft BlueScreen View, download and install it. So the next time you get a
BSOD and boot back in you will have detailed information on exactly what caused it.

There is no way ddos to cause bsod!
Give me information from dmp files usually located in %SystemRoot% and ill tell you how to fix your problem ;)

Re installing the OS should be a last resort. That program I mentioned in my first post
is great. I will show you exactly what caused the BSOD and why, easier chance to fix.

Have you gone through the usual hardware check lists?
  1. Ram
  2. Hard Drives
  3. Recent installs
  4. Mother Board
  5. CPU
  6. PSU
I generally do it in about that order, how old is the machine? I've generally not gotten BSOD from software, and if i do it's more of an underlying hardware issue rearing its ugly head. A bad Ram stick will cause you BSOD very often and seemingly random.
On top of hardware have you checked the windows install for tampering? You'd be surprised what users can do by making things "better".

I'm not sure what version you're running give this command a try:
Code:
sfc /scannow

Guys... the guy posted the thread and he never replayed back... leave him to answer update the issue then suggest more ways to fix.
And as i said on my previous comment, he must give us dmp files, otherwise we can only assume what the issue is.
