I have no clue where I would post this, I guess it's kind of a odd subject.
However I wanted to hear from other people about where I could advertise a private server other than posting your server on forums/topsite.

Search Google? You can advertise on Twitter, Facebook, reddit, pastebin, and practically anywhere; though, most of it will most likely be considered as spam.

Topsites and forums are really the only major way to advertise. Get some SEO going for your website and people will find you.

People signed up on it but never used it. We were always providing out hits but we were
receiving 0 incoming hits from the registered private server sites.

It became pointless
