so i tried to blend 2 images togheter, as u can see the orc at the dark portal is fairly cartoonish colored, and then the mountain is more a high definition artwork.

What did you do to this image?

I added a flare to make it look like a sun is rising from the back of the mountain, aswell as a color correction to give it a better
view like a sunrise. I tried to blend thoose 2 images togheter (mountain image and orc + portal) and i feel like i did a good job :)))

Light is coming from the wrong direction. Adding a light source only works if you change the images to go with it in the same direction. Portal doesn't really fit proportionally at any angle and some of the orcs are faded.

Blending shouldn't have been done with this, because you want a sense of reality and this creates no real depth. Blending is just used to help the foreground fit in with layers behind it. What you should've done is focus more on photo manipulation to achieve your end goal.

Example of blending in a signature:

(I made this 3 years ago, sorry if its a bad example)

^ Blends the render and focal point of the art to not stick out as much as it would if I were to lay a stock image over a background.
