I see the mood in this community is very friendly, everybody is helpful, everybody is trying to contribute etc etc which is grate! Sadly not everyone have the required amount of time (like me) to release stuff, to share things, to answer fast in support section etc etc, but still everyone can help this forum by doing few simple things which will take not more then 1-2 minutes per day or even just a few seconds. The list bellow includes recommendations for all users of emudevs, and if you follow them YOU will help a lot to the forum.

1) Click on the ADs. Dont spamm click on them because if you do it, you can make a trouble for admins instead of helping them, but one or two clicks two-three times a week on a different devices from different locations will help founders to get some cash for servers/better connectionr/anything they neeed faster. AGAIN DONT SPAM CLICK ON THEM, IF YOU SPAMM THE ADS YOU WILL MAKE A TROUBLE FOR THE ADMINS!!!!

2) Add http://emudevs.com/ this link to your signatures on other emulation related forums/blogs/sites. If you are server owner and if you use at least one time emudevs knowledge/release base, post a emudevs banner in your server page!

3) Instead of typing "emudevs.com" directly in browser bar, go to google and type something related to "emudevs", "emu developers", or something similar, then find http://emudevs.com/ in google results, and then go to the page. By doing this one two times a week from different locations will make the seo MUCH easier for admins.

4) Search for emudevs in other search engines like yahoo, bing and others. Again its recommended to do this from different devices in diff locations two-three times a week.

5) TBA- i dont have time to finish this right now.

All these things will take you not more then 1-2 minutes a week, but if everybody do it, the forum will grow much faster!!!
Best regards Skrbx!

Lal, thanks for tell people what can make the forum grow faster. XD

Also, contributing to the forum is the most important thing for any member, but some members don't read the rules about other members "SHARING" content from other websites. The rules clearly state about contributing members:

  • #33 - Do not come here to complain about another person sharing work that might be yours, be glad you're popular.
  • #25 - Do not share content without giving proper credits to the original creator.
  • #26 - Do not excessively reply to other members threads if they are sharing content from other sites. If they gave credits it is quite fine.

General Release/Other Information

  1. Most content these days has no original owner because so many people like to claim it as their own without the proper credits.
  2. Most content has a header saying someone is the creator, it could be very wrong. Removing headers with this suspicion might be proper if mentioned in your thread.

If people read the rules on every site, things would go a lot smoother. Anyway, thanks for the thread. \o/

The rules are very important, but my recommendations are more related with the SEO of the site. Because if you have a person who is doing noting else then SEO, he have to work very hard to achieve results which can be achieved by many users which do few simple things regularly. I have my experience boosting websites, and i can only say that there is no better SEO than good user base which is working for the community!

I'm fully aware of what you're implying, but I was regarding an issue when people do contribute, so my relation in that post is still relevant. Anyway, honestly most of what you mentioned above doesn't relate to SEO. Such as:

Instead of typing "emudevs.com" directly in browser bar, go to google and type something related to "emudevs", "emu developers", or something similar, then find http://emudevs.com/ in google results, and then go to the page. That only gives us more key search values. SEO is from content on this website / other sites if EmuDevs is mentioned. More on, Google sitemaps helps the most with SEO.

Our SEO is pretty well taken care of :p

Although the ad clicking is a help. It's not "needed", but it is polite =x

I am not going to argue with you but SEO is search engine optimization, and everything which somehow is helping particular site to get better more and better results in search engines is SEO.

I'm very aware of what the definition of the SEO acronym means. However, what I said above (what you quoted) is actually true, it doesn't add to our results, but search keys.

Given there are a few seo options that we haven't finished yet such as breadcrumbs, other
than that, we got it brotha. Tommy and I have been around for quite some time.
