Checked another thread (http://emudevs.com/showthread.php/2603-Help-to-create-logon-domain-com) but it didn't really do me much help.

cMaNGOS 2.4.3 with Eluna

I'm trying to create a logon.xxxxx.net realmlist for my WoW server. I've gone into cPanel and created a subdomain logon.xxxxx.net, and then set it to redirect to my server IP. After waiting about 30 minutes, it didn't work. I edited the realmlist table in realmd and restarted authserver and still nothing.

Not really sure where else to look, as google couldn't help me.

You shouldn't need to create a subdomain, just a host name in the domain's DNS zone. What you can also do is goto your domain's registar and add a host A record

Could you explain how to do that? I'm not actually sure. Is that through cPanel? I host with GoDaddy.

If your domain is on GoDaddy then goto your domain management, click on the domain then on the bottom you will see Hosts, click the manage link

and then add it like so

Shouldn't take any longer than an hour to resolve.

UPDATE: Got it working.

Follow Faded's steps as above, then afterwards go to here: http://prntscr.com/8gl3dd

On that screen, you'll see all the subnames you have. Click on the "logon" one that you created, and change the "Points To" field to the proper address as well. Like This: http://prntscr.com/8gl4m7

I guess I should have asked first if your domain was pointed to godaddy's nameservers :p
But yeh, if godaddy has DNS control, then my steps are irrelevant. You would just need to add that A record on the DNS zone.

side note: changing your ttl to 3600 with make your zone refresh/resolve much faster (if you are always editing it, it helps)
