Downtime

Yes, we realized there was downtime. However, it wasn't us this time. Part of the services we're on had fiber cuts, so it affected everything.

As I keep saying when we have downtime like this, you aren't in the dark. I've had too many people asking me is ED down or why is it down. You guys know we have a Twitter page. I was tweeting on it the whole time everything was down.

Next time you think ED is down or anything, view ED's twitter page. If nothing is on there about ED being down, then it is you or it isn't down at all. Regardless, sorry for any inconvenience. I hate downtime. We almost had a perfect month..

Thanks,

Tommy.

Seems like our DC provider disliked how Cox performed..

I don't blame them really.. Easter or not, Cox should have made fixing the fiber cut a priority.
Looks like Cox will be losing them as a customer, their loss.

Welcome back, well again i don't notice any downtime, but anyways..
I don't mean to be rude but I am wondering what kind of data center have full connection outage? I mean cmon, in last company i worked for, they had their server in datacenter which had 4 different dedicated lines for everything (net, power, alarm etc..) on each side of the building. And they are one of the cheapest datacenters here... But anyway, me on your place will ask for payback (something like a month free or better line or something).

I doubt we will see any compensation for the outage, it was less than 2 days. Our server is located at Staminus Communications, so I was never worried about performance
considering their legit reputation. At least they are thinking ahead now and getting new lines to replace the Cox fiber. The only information we got on the issue was a 'Fiber Cut'.

Then Cox did not want to work on Easter it seems like.. Either case, I don't see this happening again. We're still stable server wise with a 107day uptime.
