Hello everyone, and welcome to the first official Eluna scripting challenge!
For those wondering what on earth this is, here's the rundown:

Every month a new scripting challenge will be held, and every month has a unique theme that sets the stage for the script to be created.
At the end of the month, three winners will be chosen, and also qualify for the end of season scripting challenge, which will be invite based only.

That's right! Mini games. Don't you just love all the fun at the Darkmoon Faire? Or how 'bout the Karazhan Chess event?
We all love them, and now it's your turn to show what you can cook up!

This month's rewards are:

1st place
  • ONE game of your choice on Steam, up to $30
  • 50,000 Experience Points
  • Invitation to the End of Season scripting challenge.

2nd place
  • ONE game of your choice on Steam, up to $15
  • 20,000 Experience Points
  • Invitation to the End of Season scripting challenge.

3rd place
  • 5,000 Experience Points
  • Invitation to the End of Season scripting challenge.

For entering you will receive 500 Experience Points and an award.


Each winner will receive the following awards:

FAQ:

How do I enter?
  • Create your script, obviously!
  • Release your script in the release section, and tag it with "Script Challenge". Please use either pastebin and/or code tags.
  • Design your thread accordingly, and supply any relevant information on how the script works and how it should be used. For extra brownie points, supply a video as well ;)
  • Post a link to your script within this topic.

How will we be judged, and under which criteria?
  • 1st place will be chosen by the Emudevs team and our panel of judges. 2nd and 3rd place will be chosen by the community through voting at the end of the month.
  • The criteria you will be judge on is: Creativity, execution and presentation. This means even if the script is not up to par with others, you can earn points through creativity and presentation, leveling the playing field between all the different content creators we have on this forum.

RULES:
  • You can ONLY enter your own script.
  • You can NOT enter a script released previously, nor enter ripped content. This WILL be checked.
  • You CAN work together as a team, however the prize WILL be split between all the team members.
  • You CAN enter ALL the challenges throughout the year no matter if you have previously won, however you will obviously only get one invitation to the end of season challenge.


And last but not least, PLEASE spread the word! The more people joining, the better the end of season prizes will be! Good luck and may the best scripter win!​

Yes, anything goes as long as you supply everything necessary for someone else to use the script and its features :)

Suggestion:
Everyone spending enough time and all that should get like 100 exp for just entering :(

Everyone gets 500XP for entering regardless.

And what price difference? If you're talking about the XP being rewarded, that's nothing considering the level cap is being raised to 100.

Wont join this one, i'll join in next. Dont got enough time to finish up my idea so i'll just release it normally when done and join in on the next challange instead ;)

i did add tags "script challenge" and even addid "script challenge" at the bottom.
Github i thought was ok as a paste site.
it has script links in the release thread.

Yeah, but you never linked your script in this topic, I haven't had the time to go through any of this yet, but as I saw no entries here at all I kinda called the entire thing a bust. I'll extend the challenge by one week from today, if I don't get more than at least a few more entries I will probably call the next challenge off. I'll have to see though.


Challenge entries are due the 18th guys. Final date.

Considering no one else has entered, slp13at420 gets all three prizes. This includes:

Any game/application on Steam up to the price of 45 USD.
75,000 Experience on the forum.
Invitation to the seasonal finale, if it ever happens.
