Help needed about compiling

Hey guys...and recently I was doing research as Im interested in starting myself a 1.12.1 project as a hobby to develop it and so on but what I need help with is that I havent compiled a core before or anything related to those stuff so what core would you recommend for 1.12.1 and is there any way that you can link me some updated tutorial to help me with this seeing as Im not some great developer that has big experience in this field any help would be really appreciated

Not 100% sure if this particular tutorial is still relevant as I haven't compiled a 1.12.1 source.
When it comes to this particular patch though pretty much the only emulator out there is Mangos Zero

Yeah, I haven't compiled something that early in WoW. Perhaps what Parranoria said would help. I don't think there's too many sources out there that's 1.12.1 anyway and if I'm correct, not much documentation. :/

Yeah I read that trinity has a core for 1.12.1 but not alot of fixes and alot of bugs but with my research I see alot of shiny reports for MangosZero and now the only thing that is left to find some good tutorial that explains everything If you have anything in store that has 1.12.1 tutorial on compiling would be preety wicked sick ^_^

Don't have anything at the moment. I figured TrinityCore had one, couldn't really remember -- anyway, I might look into it and see. Have to find a client first of all. :D

A client is really easy to find with 400 kb/s I downloaded those 5 gigs in 6 hours or so

Hmmm If you find a source code ill compile it for you.. :happy (2): I havnt reserched this core for a relly long time but if its on github it will either be ascent or mangos not trenity it came later.. :happy (2):

Ha, 5 gigs.. those memories! I can download it in an hour. I'll have to look at it later on, probably won't be anytime soon.

I have a shitty connection but decent enough for playing games /browsing but not for downloads :/

Mangos Zero is their Vanilla source, then Mangos One is TBC, Mangos Two is WOTLK etc

But yeah as far as Vanilla goes it's pretty much your only choice
