[RELEASE] Draenor Map (6.0.2) For WoW 3.3.5a

Hey yall! I decided to give out my Draenor Map for 3.3.5a!! The Map is from Revision 18918, 6.0.2 BETA. I'm doing this video on a clean WoTLK Install and Server, so if you have modified data already, hopefully you can figure out how to get this working for your end.

Notes: As most of you should know, All map data from patch 5.3.0 onwards have 64bit Hole data instead of 32bit, What that means is Entrances to Caves or Holes in the ground for WMO Buildings that go underground will not be usable. This is a limitation of using the older client(s). Also there are various new slime/lava/fog layers that do not exist in WOTLK, so I defaulted them to ocean to avoid crashing the client, that's why in some places you'll see Water over a slime or lava area.


Anyway the Port command I used in the video is:
.go xyz 1141 -1540.8 -5.5

--Something I forgot to mention in the video is that Draenor may try to use more memory than normally possible for the default Wow Executable(~1.8gbytes), So you'll need to patch your wow.exe to avoid Out of Memory issues, Thanks goes to Valkryst(Modcraft User) for this tip!!

[Tutorial] How to get my Ported Maps to work in Noggit!

I was trying to figure out how to get the adts working in Noggit, some 22 hours later, I stumbled into a solution, not a really good one but it's enough to get the job done so we can knock out holes in the ADTs for Cave entrances and some WMO Buildings that go underground.


So after 22 hours of tinkering and banging my head on the wall, I finally, though more like Accidentally figured out a ghetto way of getting my Draenor map and possibly my other maps(Cata/MoP) to work as well.

Anyway I show how to punch holes into an ADT in this vlogstream. Thanks for viewing!! :)

NOTES: Not all ADTs will work because not all WMOs are compatible with Noggit, until I or someone else figures out how to convert wmos so that noggit doesn't crash, it'll be some time we'll be able to noggit the entire maps.

Actually did this for Cataclysm as well, was going to do MoP but I kind of ran out of space on my drives lol.

are you back for good anthony?
Can't say for good, but I'm back more or less. :) At the moment I'm trying to do some things that probably 99% of people would overlook and say is pointless to do, but it interests me, and I do this modding/creating stuff to educate myself, not because it may be useful. XD

Do I need to re-make my maps, mmaps, vmaps?

as you can see the name is blank and so is the mini map.

I don't know anything about server related things like maps,mmaps,vmaps. Since everything I do is for personal use, I never had to bother looking into all those other things. There is no minimap because I didn't pull it in this release, if you noticed in my video, I didn't have minimap either.

For the zone names, you'd have to merge the wod area, map, and zone dbc data into your wotlk files. As to the specifics of how to d that, I honestly couldn't tell you. It's one of those things that if you have to ask, it's probably a lot harder to do than one would wish for. :)

I could probably make a tutorial for minimaps if you aren't sure how to go about fixing it yourself.

You wouldn't happen to have Excel would you? XD. It's not required but it'd make things a hell of a lot easier :) Naturally having a copy of WoD installed is required though.

if not its not a big deal , I can just `lock` the area :D

the water thing was part of that 9gb patch torrent thingy, (the last link in the YT description of my release video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3dBZmlV4Uc )

as for the other thing, I really wouldn't have a clue how to modify them to suit your needs/purpose, the last time I did them, it was all in mass, I don't actually remember what I did since that was over a year ago, and I only did it that one time so yeah.... sorry about that. goodluck.

as for down porting these maps, I'd recommend doing it the Right way if you're gonna attempt it, that is trying to down port a map from Cataclysm(4.0.3 to 4.3.4).... FROM the Cataclysm Installation. The Cata maps internal data has changed with WoD, so if you really want to learn, I'd suggest actually doing it from Cataclysm, or to be more specific, anything between Cataclysm 4.0.3 to MoP 5.1.0a , the internal data changed from 5.2.0 to 5.4.x, then it changed again and went to hell on 6.0.x and up(WoD).

The Converter I use is Will's converter( http://modcraft.superparanoid.de/viewtopic.php?f=93&t=4339 ), he gives some bullshit explanation on how to compile it, but the hilarious bit is that the directions he gives you actually breaks the program, which I didn't figure out until a week or so later... lol. But unless you've got a basic working knowledge of C++ or other coding systems , it may be damn near impossible to figure it out at this time. I didn't have any C++ knowledge at the time of starting this shpeel, however I did have tons of patience, a strong desire, and BASIC, VB, and some ANSI C coding knowledge under my belt, mixed with some Javascript and PHP. So I managed to tackle it, though it took me some months to do so lol.
