"wait 10 secs before loot boss" myth?

Hello. I would like to know loot genetated instantly when you kill creature and there is a myth about that you must wait before loot for better loot. Is that true or not?

Is this retail myth or P server myth ?_?
Guessing retail if its in general, in which case without confirmation Id say it could be either considering how laggy looting is, however, I think it would be generated on creature kill, as then the NPC can be marked as no loot or has loot (sparkles?)
Though I have played so little that I dont know if mobs are marked as unlootable if they dont have loot. But Id assume they are, which would mean you cant loot an "empty" creature.

In this light, it is pretty certain that the loot would be generated instantly. Pretty unlikely that it would be only decieded whether the NPC has loot or not, and then the rest of the loot would be generated later.

So id say its just a myth with no actual evidence and all I can think of (unconfirmed though) speaks against it.

I don't even see how you would question it when it obviously isn't true. Loot is generated once the creature is killed via emulator: Unit::Kill. Waiting has nothing to do with anything. On retail, to get better items, you need to kill creatures that drop what you want more than once to get a higher drop chance.

If you wait 10 seconds, the only thing you will gain is a loss of 10 seconds of your life

Loot is generated at it's random interval on the character as soon as it dies, waiting 10 seconds isn't going to change what he dropped

I've also seen this on private servers, but as stated above it's just a myth. Doesn't really hold any truth other then on laggy servers where you would literally have to wait for the loot to load lol
