[SOLVED] SOOOOO pissed off

Hey guys been a bit since i posted last, i had gotten my server up and running, had about 50 poeple playing and everything, but then i go to add a website through xamp, i follo the instructions and everything, but now noone can connect as they get stuck on connetion, and then the realm list, i get no errors or anything, wondering if anyone knew a way to fix it, or a way around it lol, last time this happened i reset everything and started from the core. anything would help :) ty

no, i tried to add a website, to xamp, and when i added the install mysql , noone would be able to login after that

Stop using xamp. Third Party apps aren't recommended when you're running a public server, honestly, they aren't recommended at all and can come to the point where people have been taught wrong.

Directly install Apache, along with PHP and MySQL. (from Faded's post on a thread regarding someone using xamp/wamp)

It is 100% easier if you don't use those programs and use the actual source itself to run your site.

Without any sort of elaboration upon the subject it is kinda hard to pin-point the issue. What instructions did you follow? Are you sure that's all you changed? If you revert back, does it allow players to connect then?

have you visualy verified your realmlist is proper including the ip addr's, port addr's?
the install.sql only creates a table called news which is weird to cause ppl stop being able to log on..
I second the notion to drop xamp and install apache.
I just don't trust xamp at all...

You should have done nothing with that website besides uploading the content and editing it's configuration. The SQL part is using the 'site_database' of "bleefest". There
are so many files that have the same configuration settings, not sure if you made a DB for the site or if you imported the DB on auth.

Honestly, that site is a huge vulnerability and I wouldn't use it.

If I were you (if you did this) go to windows\system32\drivers\etc and remove whatever you added to the host file then reboot.

That's probably why everyone stopped being able to connect

Also if you're using no-ip, get rid of that crap. I should probably just remove that person's thread..

haha so what should i use instead of noip? just use my external?

i removed the host files btw, ive been using the no ip as my realm list and noone had issues conencting, but now noone can connect , even after i started from a new eluna core, mind using teamveiwer or somthing to help out? i see that the update files were updated on eluna, would that have anything to do with it?
