So friggen true i smoke pot i still make almost 50.000 a year ive never herd of anyone dying from it .
And the media does have 2/3rd of the population brainwashed into thinking its bad.
I guess it a matter of ones own perception of what thay consider right or wrong.
I say its not a problem if it were legal as a recreational drug like alchahol it would starve the cartels out of there bisness and money in turn ruining the cartels cash flo.
The political ramifactions is thay dont want it legal because if it were thay couldnt opese the popo because the popo maky alot more off of confiscating peoples money and belongings. witch here in fla thay keep your money auction off your property and keep the loot for there district wich pays bonuses and other perks that make the pigs love there jobs because if thay take your car or truck or house thay can go bid on nice shit there to dumb to get on piggys salary.
Good lord that was painful to read. While you're arguing about the media brainwashing people, you basically just coughed up the same brainwashed dribble from the other side.
In any case, I fully support the legalization of marijuana. I personally have no interest in smoking mj anymore, but I can see all the smart reasons why it should be legalized.
One major issue the smoking community needs to work on though is their presentation. We ave every reason to support the legalization, but a lot of people won't because of the vibe it gives off.
First of all, some people smoke mj because they enjoy it, because they're educated about it and still want to use it. Others simply want to smoke because it's cool, and they pressure other people into it. While those types of people are really just idiots, assholes, and not how most act, it's a huge barrier because the peer pressure ends up shining very bad light on the community of smokers (mj and tobacco) and any other kind of drug. Generally though, this isn't anywhere near enough of an argument against it, but it's not good to have in people's minds.
Adding to that, there's also people who, in their efforts to support legalization, will vandalize public property with things like "Smoke trees!! 420". I'm glad they're so enthusiastic but people have to realize how bad this looks to the non-smoker. Bragging, being obnoxious about how high you are, and general shitty behavior all contribute to this.
Why do I bring this up? Well there are responsible smokers that are intelligent and educated that are well on their way to legalizing marijuana because they have a convincing argument. Unfortunately there's also the lazy, pot brainwashed bandwagon idiots that can only say "cops are a bunch of capitalist piggies man, 420 BLAZE IT FGT" and that, in essence is holding back the legalization movement.
Push for legalization, but also take a moment of introspection on how you look to someone who may not smoke. If you show yourself to be uneducated and obnoxious, only arguing the most cliche and hostile points, nobody will listen.
